The value of forrajes
Forrajes y Proteínas began its dried forage operations in 2002. Located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region, it sources its produce from the basin of the Rivers Pisuerga and Duero, as they flow through the provinces of Valladolid and Zamora.
At Forrajes y Proteínas we ensure a high-quality end product, which requires the coordination of every stage involved in the production process, from the field to the finished article.
The quality of the forage produced by the company is guaranteed by the modern technologies used in production, as well as the high-quality ingredients employed, sourced in almost all cases from irrigated agricultural land using a pivot irrigation system. Throughout our 18 years of history, we sell 70% of the production for export.
Activities:
Drying of alfalfa, rye grass, vetch and other forage.
Chopping of straw
Drying of maize
We have our own maize drying facility, which handles some 15,000 tonnes a year.
Distribution and sale of liquid and solid fertilisers.
The main activity of the company is alfalfa Drying with an annual production of 45,000 tonnes in bules format.

Our technical team is at your service from the choice of plot, through planting, fertilizer, treatments, irrigation and even the frequency of cuts.

Contract 1
Contract, which reflects the sale of fodder of all the annual production by the farmer, (Alfalfa, Vetch, Rey Grass, Fescue...), to Forrajes y Proteínas, detailing conditions, characteristics and amounts agreed, as well as the price minimum guaranteed for the entire campaign, as required by the Contract approved by the Ministry of Agriculture
Contract 2
Contract, which reflects the timely sale of fodder (Alfalfa, Vetch, Rey Grass, Fescue...), of the farmer to Forrajes y Proteínas, as well as, quantity, price and other characteristics, as required by the Code of Good Practices in Food contracting
